Description:
Awarded to a long-standing member of AFCEA with a record of sustained contributions to the Association, and exceptional leadership skills.
Criteria:
Supporting rationale should document specific examples of performance that highlight outstanding leadership qualities within AFCEA. Nominee must have at least three years in a leadership position (at any level of Association activity) with documented growth and/or improvement in AFCEA under his/her leadership. The write-up must be based on leadership in AFCEA (not the candidates professional career).

Meritorious Service Award
Description:
This is a mid-career award for meritorious contributions to AFCEA and to the community.
Criteria:
Nominee must be a member of AFCEA. Nominees will be judged on a record of significant contributions to the Association, in combination with exceptional professional performance in the fields of communications, electronics, intelligence and information systems. (Note: AFCEA contributions will be more heavily weighed in the decision process.) At least two years involvement in assisting the Association meets and/or exceeds local Chapter or International goals. Examples must be documented with comparison statistics provided.

AFCEA Charlie Allen Award for Intelligence Service
Description:
This AFCEA award honors senior level intelligence professionals who are making significant contributions.
Criteria:
Candidates for this award must demonstrate a long and distinguished record of significant accomplishments and senior leadership in support of the Intelligence Community at the national and/or international level. Nominees do not need to be AFCEA members.
Submission:
The nomination must describe the candidate's professional record, detailing significant accomplishments in the intelligence arena. Where applicable, highlight the nominee's contributions to the AFCEA Intelligence program, whether at the chapter or international level.

Description:
This AFCEA award honors intelligence professionals who are making significant contributions at the tactical, intermediate, or national levels
Criteria:
Candidates for this award may be at any stage in their intelligence career. They must demonstrate a track record of accomplishments in the intelligence arena and a professionalism that serves as an inspiration for others. Nominees do not need to be AFCEA members.
Submission:
The nomination must document the candidate's specific intelligence accomplishments. Where applicable, highlight the nominee's contributions to the AFCEA Intelligence program, whether at the chapter or international level.

Distinguished Service to Education Award
Description:
Candidates for the Educational Foundation Distinguished Service to Education Award will be solicited from AFCEA chapter presidents, Educational Foundation Board members, AFCEA International Executive Board members and AFCEA International senior staff members. Nominations are solicited in September and due each year in early December. The Educational Foundation Board of Directors will select the recipient at their February meeting.

Award for the use of IT in Education
Description:
All AFCEA Chapters are eligible for the AFCEA Educational Foundation Award for the Use of Information Technology in Education. Nominations will be solicited in September and are due each year in early December. The Educational Foundation Board of Directors will select the recipient at their February meeting. The award will be presented at the Joint Warfighting Conference, Virginia Beach, in May.
Instructions: Provide details on nature of project, chapter involvement -including personnel and financial commitments, specific accomplishments, and partnership participation. Please provide photos if available and information of "before" and "after" scenarios at the school or community organization. Selection will be based on technical features of the project and successful impact in the school or community.

The purpose of the Model Chapter Award is to strengthen the overall chapter structure and program of activities. In the late fall/early winter, Chapters receive notice of the program. To apply, Chapters must first establish a set of goals for the coming calendar year which are attainable, yet require some effort. These goals are then incorporated into a chapter plan, which much be submitted to AFCEA International, Member, Chapter, and Corporate Services, 4400 Fair Lakes Ct., Fairfax, VA, 22033, or FAX 703-631-6124, in February/March.
In February/March of the following year, all chapters enrolled in the Model Chapter Program will submit results of their efforts for review by their Regional Vice President and AFCEA Internationals Member, Chapter, and Corporate Services office. Model Chapters will be recognized at the spring annual meeting.
